 This clip uses non- digetic sound as there is a piano playing in the background which has been added post production. The noise of the piano emphasises the dark and creepy scene which creates an atmosphere of emptiness which alludes to the image message that they’re trying to convey. The low-key lighting enhances this non-digetic sound as it adds depth into the role of the scene.

 Sound practical task: First half:  Parallel sound (music that is associated with the scene) is used as there are pictures of natures beauty which connotes happiness,joy,bliss and charm and alludes t o the peaceful music that creates a serene atmosphere. Second half: Contrapuntal sound (music that is not usually associated with the scene) is used here as there are pictures of empty,gloomy and eerie dystopian landscapes which highly contrasts the calmness of the music and establishes an uncanny feeling. Music: Peaceful/relaxed

   1st image:       There is low-key lighting in the image as there is a harsh light on the side of the woman's face which darkens the rest of her face,  creating a dark atmosphere. I think that the image has top lighting that is not too harsh as the light subtly emphasises the woman's bone structure where the highest points of her face are brighter and the deeper points on her face are darker. The overall darkness of this image conveys mystery which can also be demonstrated through the smoke from her cigarette as it is contrasting with the other colours of the image. The smoke around the woman is highlighted intentionally to enhance the ideas of secrecy and mystery as well as make the audience question the storyline .Perhaps, the smoke could indicate sadness as it contains a hue of blue and this colour typically connotes to sadness and despair.      2nd image:             There is low-key lighting used in t...
