My favourite production review:

Two of my favourite productions that were displayed in the Media Awards was Dyari's and Raagni's as their production included many key media techniques, therefore, emphasising their amazing work. The perfect use of sound effects creates anticipation and intensity throughout the scenes (e.g when Dyari opened the mystery box). They also vividly demonstrate the actor's vulnerablilty perfectly by taking close shots which creates an atmosphere of mystery. Dyari uses high-key and low-key lighting to emphasise the feeling of fear and threat as the audience can sense incoming drama and mystery and so does Raagni.The actors in both performances wear casual/everyday clothing which helps make the audience feel a connection with the character and perhaps relate. These subtle changes that Dyari and Raagni did to their scenes created a significant impact to the overall scenes/performances.

 For this video I've worked with Gurleen, Sandeep and Rukiya in order to create a sinister drama/crime scene.For this scene, we used a drama room to establish the idea of an interrogation happening. Sandeep acts as an authoritative figure who is trying to find out information from a crime scene. Whereas, I act as a suspicious suspect who's drunk and involved in gangs.  The Last Duel: sword fight scene There is a good portrayal of cinematography specifically in this scene because it is essential for building tension and also including the audience in the fight. Through the use of close ups during the duel, it perfectly emphasises the personal nature of the combat. This is because the audience is forced to focus on the actors' mean-looking facial expressions, therefore, easily identifying their physical and emotional strain. The perfect use of extreme close ups of the swords effectively accentuates the powerful impact that each strike has on something/someone. Within these close up shots, the camera occasionally zooms out in order to reveal the large scale of the fight which underscores the significance of the event.
